The Township of North Dumfries Accessibility Plan (NDAP) highlights accessibility initiatives that were undertaken in 2010, as well as proposed initiatives for 2011. Under the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), the Township is required to develop a yearly accessibility plan until January 1, 2014 when the yearly plan will change to a multi-year plan with yearly updates. The goal of the NDAP is to identify practices, procedures, policies, by-laws and other services that were or are to be reviewed for compliance with required Provincial legislation.
