The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is appointed by Council. The CAO has the responsibility of coordinating the work of all municipal departments and ensuring that those departments carry out policies and directions given by Mayor and Council. The CAO's position acts as the principal advisor to Council in the development of public policy, including ensuring that Council is provided with all relevant information necessary to make informed decisions.
