Special Council Meeting Notice
Pursuant to the Township of North Dumfries Procedural By-law No. 3130-20, Section 5.10(b), the Clerk hereby gives written notice of a Special Council Meeting that has been called by Mayor Foxton.
Due to COVID-19 and recommendations by Waterloo Region Public Health to exercise social distancing and public gathering thresholds, Township Council meetings are currently being held electronically. Members of the public wishing to comment on an agenda item, must submit the request in writing to the Clerks Division at clerk@northdumfries.ca.
A Special Council Meeting, to take place by teleconference (2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr) on:
Tuesday, December 1, 2020
At 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss a draft Resolution for Council's consideration on the Provincial Government's Bill 229 Schedule 6 related to Conservation Authorities and a Closed Session item:
i) Report No. CAO-45-2020: Recruitment of the Director of Public Works “a personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees” (Municipal Act, Section 239 (2)(b)); and “labour relations or employee negotiations” (Municipal Act, Section 239 (2)(d)).
No other business items will be discussed beyond those matters included with the circulated/posted Agenda. Any available corresponding information will be posted on the Township of North Dumfries website at www.northdumfries.ca.
