“I feel a sense of honour to have known an individual who embraced and helped to create the fabric of this community of Ayr. Some individuals are just made to do, made to lead and we will always acknowledge their leadership. They have spent their lifetime serving our community, serving us and yet I don’t think they ever thought of it as service but rather as living community life to the fullest.” Mayor Foxton shared. “This community, is blessed to have had such a “doer” and Jim Schmidt will live on in the life of this community, a ground breaker who taught us by example and taught us well.”
