Snow Event Declared - No Not Park Vehicles on Township Roads
PUBLIC ADVISORY
DECLARATION – SNOW OR WINTER STORM EVENT
DO NOT PARK VEHICLES ON LOCAL TOWNSHIP ROADS
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for today and into Thursday, January 26. Snowfall amounts of up to 20cm are expected. Reduced visibility and rapidly accumulating snow is making travel difficult.
To assist with road maintenance operations, the Township has declared a Snow or Winter Storm Event in accordance with By-law 2559-13. No parking of vehicles on local Township roads are permitted starting Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. until Thursday January 26th, 2023 at 3pm. Vehicles parked on-street during the Snow or Winter Storm Event may be ticketed.
The Township is appreciative of the assistance of residents to not park their vehicles on the roads during this time period so as to assist crews from the Public Works Department in completing their snow plowing and sanding operations.
Residents are also reminded not to push snow from their driveway onto the road.
Please exercise caution when driving. Roads and sidewalks will be slippery.
