Notice of Special Council Meeting
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING NOTICE
Pursuant to the Township of North Dumfries Procedural By-law No. 3130-20, Section 5.10(b), the Clerk hereby gives written notice of a Special Council Meeting that has been called by Mayor Foxton.
Due to COVID-19 and recommendations by Waterloo Region Public Health to exercise social distancing, the Township Administration Office is closed to the public until Monday, April 6, 2020. Members of the public are invited to view this open meeting electronically by accessing the meeting stream on the Township website.
A Special Council Meeting, to take place by teleconference on:
Thursday, March 26, 2020
At 10:00 a.m.
The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss the following items:
- Report No. CLK-09-2020: Amendment to the Procedural By-law to Permit Electronic Meeting Participation during a Declared Emergency.
- Report No. FIN-07-2020: Amendment to Purchasing By-law during a Declared Emergency.
- Report No. FIN-08-2020: Municipal Financial Relief - COVID-19 Pandemic - Phase 1.
- Adoption of Committee of the Whole recommendations from March 9, 2020 Meeting.
No other business items will be discussed beyond those matters included with the circulated/posted Agenda.
While in-person participation is not feasible at this time, members of the public are invited to submit written comments to Ashley Sage, Clerk, at asage@northdumfries.ca, which will be provided to the Mayor and Council prior to the meeting, and will form part of the public record.
Any available corresponding information will be posted on the Township of North Dumfries website at www.northdumfries.ca.
