Flags at Half Mast - Passing of Regional Councillor Kari Williams
Ayr – Region of Waterloo Councillor Kari Williams, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on April 29th. Township Council and the residents of North Dumfries wish to extend our thoughts to the family and friends of Regional Councillor Williams at this most difficult time.
Kari Williams was first elected to Regional Council in 2022 representing the City of Kitchener.
“Councillor Williams was a passionate advocate at Regional Council on a wide range of issues. She was a respected colleague who brought energy, refreshing ideas and an engaged perspective for discussion at Regional Council and in Committee Meetings. She will be sadly missed”, stated Mayor Sue Foxton.
Township Flags at the Municipal Offfices and at the North Dumfries Community Complex will be lowered to half mast in remembrance of Regional Councillor Kari Williams.
