Township Municipal Office Closed to the Public Until April 6th
COVID-19 Update: Township Municipal Office Closed to the Public Until April 6
AYr: As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve around the world and in our local community, the health and wellbeing of our residents and Staff remains our top priority. The Township continues to work closely with the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health and the Pandemic Control Group to monitor and respond to new developments.
As a precaution for our Staff and to maintain business continuity, the Township Municipal Offices have closed to public walk-in traffic with an anticipated re-opening on Monday April 6th.
Residents, businesses and other municipal customers are encouraged to delay any non-essential business where possible. Township personnel are continuing to monitor voice mail and email accounts.
Members of the public who must access a core Township service may call 519-632-8800 during regular business hours [Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm] to discuss their needs with a customer service representative. Callers will be directed to online services if available or offered other options if possible. If staff deem that an in-person visit to the Township Municipal Office is required, callers will be asked questions regarding their travel and health history prior to booking an appointment. Visitors with confirmed appointments should be prepared to show identification upon arrival.
We encourage residents to use alternative methods of payment, such as payment through a financial institution, pre-authorized payment, and cheque payment via mail. A drop box at the main entry door to the Township Municipal Office is available to deposit cheques and documents.
Recreational Facilities and associated programming activities remain closed.
The Township recognizes that these changing service levels may present a challenge to some citizens, however we would not take this action if we did not believe it was in the best interest of the community. Thank you for your patience.
Further updates will be made to the Township website and social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) will occur as the situation evolves.
