North Dumfries Historical Preservation Society |
Created 2013, the goal of the North Dumfries Historical Preservation Society (NDHPS) is to preserve and protect historical records in and related to North Dumfries. See the NDHPS Facebook page for more information. On August 13, 2018, Township Council passed By-law 2984-18 to establish the North Dumfries Historical Preservation Society as the Archivist for the Township for the time period through to July 31, 2023. The Township entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the NDHPS at that time. As a group of dedicated community volunteers, the NDHPS can, through the MOU, provide enhanced archival services by dedicating resources, time, and expertise to properly catalogue and preserve important aspects of the history of the Township as a Corporation. |
