Appleyard Park |
Now open! Located at 23 Challenger Avenue, this park was named by two Ayr residents in a Park Naming Contest. In recognition of the Appleyard family of North Dumfries who lost two sons, Pte. William Byecroft Appleyard and Pte. Joseph Clarence Appleyard in World War 1. Their sacrifices deprived them of living full enriched lives in North Dumfries. This name is being submitted to act as a teaching moment at a place where children can happily interact with one another, while honouring the Appleyard family. This park features:

Skén:nen Park |
Now open! Pronounced 'sgah-nah', this park is located at 271 Robert Woolner Street, Ayr. Skén:nen is a Mohawk word meaning peace and balance, which is a central theme in Haudenosaunee philosophy. This park features:

Park Rules
- The parks are open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- This is your community. Respect each other.
- All dogs must be on a leash at all times.
- Please pick up after your pet.
- No smoking within 20 metres of a playground (Smoke-Free Ontario Act (SFOA) 2017).
- No smoking within 20 metres of sports fields and sporting areas (Smoke-Free Ontario Act (SFOA) 2017).
- No motorized vehicles permitted within the park.
- Respect the environment.
- Please do not litter. Garbage cans are provided.
