Keeping dogs in North Dumfries is regulated by the Township's Dog By-law. If you have questions about this by-law, contact By-law Enforcement. Every resident of the Township of North Dumfries who owns a dog must have a dog licence. Details on the application process are provided below.
Dog Licence Application

- Submit a Dog Licence Application Form
- Valid for one year, expiring January 31st of the following year
- Provide proof of rabies vaccination and spayed/neutered information
A Township dog licence is non-transferable. Failure to licence your dog with the Township could result in a fine.
