The Engineering and Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Township's infrastructure which includes: roads and road side ditches; bridges and culverts; boulevard trees; traffic control devices, signage and pavement markings; catch basins, storm sewers and storm water management facilities; sidewalks; and, Municipal parking lots. The division is also responsible for the maintenance and oversight of the Corporation's fleet (except fire apparatus) of vehicles and equipment. In addition, the division also manages the design and delivery of the municipality's capital works program related to the repair, rehabilitation or expansion of the linear infrastructure network.
As of January 1st, 2024, Grandbridge Energy Inc. will no longer be maintaining burnt out or malfunctioning streetlights for North Dumfries Township. To report an outage or malfunctioning streetlight, please complete the online form that will be submitted to the Public Works Department.
