2022 Municipal and School Board Election
The Township of North Dumfries is governed by a Council of five elected members: a mayor and four ward councillors. Every four years, the mayor is elected at-large and the councillors are elected by ward. The next municipal election is on Monday, October 24, 2022.
On June 14, 2021, the Township of North Dumfries' Council approved the use a hybrid voting method system using internet and paper ballots for the 2022 Municipal Election.

Key Dates for the 2022 Municipal Election
Municipal Elections are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. The key dates for the 2022 Municipal Election are:
- Nominations open - May 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.
- Nominations close - August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
- Early voting - to be announced
- Voting Day - October 24, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- New Council term begins - November 15, 2022
