2022 Municipal and School Board Election
The Township of North Dumfries is governed by a Council of five elected members: a mayor and four ward councillors. Every four years, the mayor is elected at-large and the councillors are elected by ward. The next municipal election is on Monday, October 24, 2022.
On June 14, 2021, the Township of North Dumfries' Council approved the use a hybrid voting method system using internet and paper ballots for the 2022 Municipal Election. Are you on the voters' list?

Apply to Work at a Voting Location
Applications are currently being accepted to assist at the various voting locations for advanced voting days and on Election Day for the 2022 Municipal Election. Dates of work include: training days in either late September or early October; Advanced Poll on Wednesday, October 19, 2022; Advanced Poll on Saturday, October 22, 2022 and on Election Day being Monday, October 24, 2022.
Positions Available:
- Poll Clerk / Revision Clerk: add individuals to the voters’ list, strike voters off voters’ list, issue paper ballots, check identification and verify electors
- Tabulator Clerk: individual assigned to monitor tabulator at voting locations, feed ballots through tabulator, ensure ballots are cast correctly, clean (sanitize) surfaces, ensure supplies are available
- Greeter: greet public at entrance, direct public, ensure electors with accessibility needs are accommodated, review voter cards, provide general information
Pay is between $17.72/hour - $23.44/hour

Key Dates for the 2022 Municipal Election
Municipal Elections are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and the key dates for the 2022 Municipal Election are:
- Nominations open: May 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.
- Nominations close: August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
- Early voting: to be announced
- Voting Day: October 24, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- New Council term begins November 15, 2022
