Municipal Office and Ayr Farmers Mutual Community Centre Closed for Canada Day

North Dumfries, ON – The Township of North Dumfries would like to remind residents that the Municipal Office and the Ayr Farmers Mutual Community Centre will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in observance of Canada Day.

Residents are invited to join the Township's annual July 1st Community Celebration at Cowan Park, 2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 

The free, family-friendly event will feature:

• Live entertainment
• Family activities and games
• Food trucks
• A fireworks display to conclude the evening  

For those celebrating at home, please be a good neighbour and enjoy fireworks responsibly.  Remember that the Township's Fireworks By-law permits the setting off of fireworks only on Canada Day and the day immediately before and after the holiday.
