Traffic calming measures are put in place to tackle problems related to speeding, high traffic volumes, and neighborhood safety. Although the methods used may vary, all traffic calming measures work towards enhancing the safety and well-being of residents by reducing traffic speed and volume.
Residents with traffic related concerns are instructed to submit a written traffic calming request to the Township. Township staff will then conduct a brief preliminary assessment to determine if the requested road and/or meets the initial screening criteria.
The Township's Engineering and Public Works Department invites residents to attend a Public Information Centre regarding proposed speed humps on Morrison Road, from Studiman Road to 1.35 km East, and Shellard Road, from Clyde Road to 760m South.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the prosed traffic calming measures, discuss the planned locations, and offer residents an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
