Public skates are a great opportunity for community members to be active. Public Skates are a great place to gather with friends and neighbours and be active. Skating helps coordination, provides muscular training and provides cognitive benefits.
Skating sponsors will be mentioned in social media ads and on the Township's website Events Calendar. The sponsors will also appear on the TV and bulletin boards at the Ayr Farmers Mutual Community Centre. Sponsors are welcome to set up a display at the Ayr Farmers Mutual Community Centre during the time of their sponsored skate to promote their business or organization. If sponsors wish to give out hot chocolate or a snack to skaters, we ask that you please do that at the end of the skating time as food and beverages are not permitted on the ice. If the concession booth will be open during your sponsored skate, you will not be permitted to give out food or beverages as it would be in violation of the contract between the Township of North Dumfries and the concession booth operator. - March 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - sponsored by MP Connie Cody
- March 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- March 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
