Notice of Intent to Close Surplus Road Allowance Lands

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 34 of the Municipal Act, 2001 that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Dumfries will consider a By-law at it’s meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. on September 8, 2025 in the North Dumfries Community Complex, Dumfries Room:

1. To authorize the permanent closing of the highway representing a portion of East River Road, North Dumfries, Ontario, a public highway in the Township of North Dumfries identified as PT SUBDIVISION LT 1 CON 8 EGR NORTH DUMFRIES; PT SUBDIVISION LT 2 CON 8 EGR NORTH DUMFRIES BEING A FORCED ROAD, LYING N OF PT 1 67R2929, AKA EAST RIVER RD; NORTH DUMFRIES, Bearing PIN 03844-0583 (LT)

Any person or their counsel, solicitor or agent, who claims that their lands will be prejudicially affected by the actions proposed in this Notice must submit their comments or objections in writing and email it to the Township Clerk, or by mail to Township Clerk, 106 Earl Thompson Road, PO Box 1060, 3^rd Floor, Ayr, ON  N0B 1E0. Submissions must be received no later than noon on September 2, 2025.
