Activities and Sports

The Township of North Dumfries has two arenas and several sports fields that are available for sports and activities of all kinds. Whether for recreation, leisure or competitions, there is a space for everyone. Through program partners and volunteer-run groups and clubs, the Township has a wide range of programs and services that promote healthy, active living, as well as family and community relationships.

Activities & Programs

The North Dumfries Community Health Centre (NDCHC) run programs in North Dumfries for older adults and youth.  For youth programs, please contact Michelle Sousa at michelles@langs.org.  For older adult programs, please contact Jenna Champagne jennach@langs.org

The Region of Waterloo Library has ten branches offering library services, programs and events to the four Waterloo Region Townships. North Dumfries Township has two Region of Waterloo Library Branches:

 

Ayr Branch, and

Clyde Satellite Location

EarlyON Waterloo Region offers programs for children and families.  They have a location in Ayr, at Cedar Creek Public School.  Visit the EarlyON website for more details.

Sports

Outdoor tennis courts are located at Victoria Park and Schmidt Park.  Courts are open from May to October.  The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. 

We have a variety of Pickleball programs at the North Dumfries Community Complex, located at 2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr. 

 Scorpions Volleyball programs run in Ayr and surrounding municipalities.
