Overnight Parking Ban - Now in Effect

Overnight Parking By-law Reminders: 

Beginning December 1st, overnight parking is not permitted on any Township of North Dumfries roadway from 2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. The fine for parking on street overnight is $30.00. No person shall park a vehicle on any road within the Township during a snow or winter event. The Township may declare a snow or winter event at any time of the year. All vehicles parked on the roadway will be subject to fines at all times of the day. 

The overnight parking by-law is in effect until March 31st. 

The Township understands that sometimes temporary relief may be needed for a special or unique situation. If you need temporary parking flexibility for an event, or special circumstance, please reach out to By-law Enforcement at 519-632-8800, or visit On-Street Parking Exemptions.

Seniors Services

Seniors programs in North Dumfries are available through Porchlight Counselling & Addiction Services (519-621-5090) and North Dumfries Community Health Centre (519-632-1229). 

In North Dumfries you may be eligible for MobilityPLUS-North Dumfries, if you are one of the following:

  • 65 years of age or older
  • Registered with CNIB
  • Have a physical disability
  • Have a cognitive disability
  • Temporarily or seasonally disabled, affecting your mobility (such as a broken leg or visually impaired as defined by CNIB)
